In His Time…

I was pretty awestruck this morning when my little brother made a comment on how decisions we make are based on faith. Yes on faith. How often does faith pass us by when we make decisions of every kind? Big, little, the important, or simply the insignificant.

Every step of the way is a process, a celebration of a journey and almost a festival for exploration. I catch myself

sometimes being too preoccupied with the outcomes of what may be or what should be. Striving to perfect perfection or even to achieve the unachievable, at present. Perhaps the lingering expectations or fears of our decisions are so overbearing that it supersede the true process of love, fun, meaning, character moulding and growth.

Yes often is about the whys, hows and should have been. But in moments like these, the surrender and believe that in all our decisions, He has made everything beautiful in its time. – Ecclesiastes 3:11.

I have seen the faithfulness of God in his promises that have come to pass, in not only my life but in the lives of the people around me. And I am brought to my knees again in gratitude. Some of us take the path less travelled, and some of us take longer than we ought to surrender ourselves into the hands of God, where the true beauty and testimony of faith lie.

It’s no wonder faithfulness and faith are so deeply rooted. In order for us to have faith, we have to trust, hope and believe that God will provide. Our God is an awesome God, and he will never fail us. His great love and the fulfillment of all the blessings that we have received in our lives thus far, in itself a miracle of his faithfulness.

“And now these three remain: faithhope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

A friend so aptly said, we would not have faith if we did not love. We have faith because we love. It is his love for us first that allows us to love him in return. To also love ourselves, others and with love, we are graced with faith in our decisions.

We are reminded again, of the love of God, his great and everlasting love for us.
