I decided to go for adoration some time last week while walking to partake in my daily quest at Moolah. The moment I knelt in front of the Monstrance I heard Jesus say, “Have you come to see me Child?” And in my slightest reply I said, “I have come to be with you Lord.”
But Jesus was right, I had come to spend only five minutes of my time with him. It was in actual fact to see him, not so much to be with him. It reminded me of his presence, the longing that he has for each and every one of us. “O Lord, you have searched my heart, and you know my ways.” Psalms 139. He knows our heart, he already knows our ways, just like how he knew my next steps.
I was reminded of this, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1: 5. How awesome!
It’s funny how Jesus as my friend will take the initiative to know my ways. Don’t we know our best friend inside out? Who is this friend that I claim he is? As much as he fights for me and know my ways, I realized that this process of discovery of who Jesus is truly resonated in my heart.
